Workout Notification is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application collects, uses, and discloses your information.
1. Information We Collect

We collect limited information to provide core app functionality, user authentication, global rankings, and advertising.
A. Information You Provide Directly

    Display Name & Account Info: When you choose to sign in using your Google Account, we receive your basic public profile information (such as your Google Display Name and unique User ID). If you update your display name in the App, that name is stored to display on the public Leaderboard.

    Workout Data: App usage data—including completed workout counts, preset activity performance, and response times—is stored locally on your device and synchronized to our cloud database if you participate in the Leaderboard.

B. Information Collected Automatically

    Authentication Data: We use Firebase Authentication to manage user sessions (both anonymous and Google Sign-In). Firebase generates a unique identifier for your account.

    Ad Identifiers & Usage Data: We use Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. AdMob may collect and process device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID), IP addresses, and app interaction data to serve non-personalized or personalized ads and prevent fraud.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

    Core Functionality: To run workout interval timers, issue local notifications, and track your workout progress.

    Leaderboards & Scoring: To compute and display your global score, rank, completed workouts, and average response times on the public Leaderboard.

    App Customization: To save your custom interval preferences, active hours, and workout presets.

    Advertising: To serve banner ads via Google AdMob within the App.

    Security & Account Preservation: To allow you to link your anonymous profile to a Google Account so your stats and leaderboard rank are preserved across devices.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted third-party service providers necessary to operate the App:

    Firebase (Google LLC): We use Firebase Authentication and Firestore for database management and secure user authentication.

4. Data Retention and Account Deletion

    Local Data: Data stored locally on your device (such as custom workouts and local timer preferences) can be cleared at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.

    Leaderboard & Cloud Data: If you wish to delete your display name and score from the global leaderboard, you can edit your profile name in the App or request data deletion by contacting us at the support email provided below.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.
6. Device Permissions

To deliver core features, the App requests the following permissions on your device:

    Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Required to alert you when an interval workout trigger occurs.

    Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Required to schedule precise background workout reminders within your configured active hours.

    Media / Storage Access: Optional permission used solely if you choose to attach custom workout images from your local gallery.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date."
